What has Lama Rangbar studied and practiced?

Since whatever useful qualities I have developed have come from the kindness of my Root Gurus, it comes as no surprise that my main work is to help people come into contact with and practice the genuine teachings that my own teachers have given their lives to maintain in this world. I have dedicated my life to serving my teachers and beings by going through the processes needed to develop the energy of the teachings within myself. Having absorbed these blessings from many great masters, my real value is my dedication to fulfilling whatever motivations and wishes my teachers may have had for benefitting transmigrators.

Lama Rangbar has spent most of his entire life since his 20s, studying and practicing the lineage methods he has been given since 1978 until today. Most importantly Lama has received many empowerments directly from His Holiness Dudjom Jigdrel Yeshe Dorje Rinpoche and completed a one year strict meditation retreat under his guidance. He has also received extensive empowerments, blessings and teachings ranging from the complete Dudjom Tersar lineage from Kyabje Trulshig Rinpoche, Rinchen Terdzod from Katok Moksha Rinpoche, Dam Ngak Dzod from Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche as well as the entire NyingThik Yabshi and NyingThik Sabod and the entire Kamma Cycle from Kyabje Trulshig Rinpoche. In addition to these, Lama Rangbar has received extensive transmissions and empowerments and studied under His Holiness Dungse Shenphen Dawa Rinpoche, His Holiness Dungse Trinlay Norbu Rinpoche, Acharya Lama Dawa Chhodak Rinpoche, Kyabje Kunzang Dorje Rinpoche and Bhakha Tulku Rinpoche.

Early on, Lama extensively trained in breathing, meditation, movement and healing systems from the Northern Shaolin Kung Fu school from the Indonesian Master, Suhu Subur Rahardja who held a lineage which was infused with Tantric teachings from Padmasambhava and other great accomplished Buddhist Masters including the last King of Lombok, Anak Agung Gusti Gelantik and Liu Tai Chi who studied in Tibet.

Since we are all humans, we have both short term needs and long term goals that we must somehow fulfill in our lives, we must rely on clear time tested methods and wisdoms in order to accomplish this without deluding ourselves. We need to learn what habits we are currently engaged in and to determine where they are in fact leading us. The Tantric path is one of embrace which is very suitable for the times we live in. The view, meditation and action of our path is to go directly through our lives with whatever they offer us as the fuel for consistent and meaningful practice and development. By maintaining reasonable circumstances for our regular and correct practice, we can gradually approach and ultimately actualize our realization.

What does Lama Rangbar teach?

Ultimately, our relation with our spiritual teachers and mentors is a dance more than it is a single frozen set of pictures. Relating with the teacher is an organic process one builds from the square they find themselves on in life. That being said, one of the Guru’s first jobs is to help seekers find out where they stand and that is probably the end job as well. For that, the student must engage in practices and disciplines with regard to body, speech, mind, dwelling in peace and developing insight. Lucky for us, the Dudjom Tersar lineage within the Vajrayana tradition, is one of the most intact lineages descending directly from Lord Buddha Shakyamuni’s time until now. The Dudjom Tersar Lineage is one of the most complete and condensed and effective systems in use today. It is said that the blessings of the Dudjom Tersar still have the warm breath of the Dakinis within them. This being said, Lama draws upon all his experiences and in particular, Lama explains that much of what he has gained from his teachers came to him in normal life situations, to bring to bear on life and all its challenges. Due to this history of how he was taught, Lama often act as Kaliyanamitra (Spiritual Friend), for those who chose to relate to him in that manner.
